I think one of the biggest benefits for me as I have transitioned to an acquisition driven teaching has been a little life lesson in being brave.
By being brave I mean following my gut and pushing on even when this was a very new concept in my school district and in fact in the wider Japanese teaching community.
Being brave and trialing new activities and new approaches.
Being brave and trusting the process, knowing that when we talk about language acquisition we are playing the ‘long game’
Being brave and embracing a more student-centered approach….even when it’s often not the easiest option
Being brave and becoming a new language student myself so I could really experience what my students were experiencing
And being brave is sharing this blog.
What you have done that is brave in your teaching and learning?

Thank you Natalie for your brave comment :) It’s when we are most vulnerable that the growth happens. Thank you for sharing🌸
Taking up an opportunity to be part of the first group of teachers in my school to learn about Impact Teaching and then being part of the team that could shape the process at my school. Being coached by expert coaches and then becoming a novice coach to help guide my colleagues was terrifying, brave and vulnerable all at once. Thanks for post.
